Mark is a seasoned litigator who has tried 100’s of cases throughout his 30 year legal career. For the past 15 years he has limited his practice to personal injury and negligence cases such as auto accidents, slip & falls, injuries at work sites, and defective products. Practice
Mark commenced the practice of law in 1979 as an Assistant District Attorney in Erie County, New York. He won many high profile felony cases and quickly rose through the ranks. He was named Chief of the Buffalo City Court Bureau, and later, Executive Assistant District Attorney. In 1988, Mark joined the United States Attorney’s Office (WDNY) and handled numerous civil lawsuits on behalf of, and in defense of the United States government. He was promoted to Chief of the Civil Division where he oversaw the handling of hundreds of bodily injury and other civil suits affecting federal employees.
After his service with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Mark became an Erie County Court Judge. He left the bench in 1996 to join his family at Perla & Perla, LLP where he has recovered many millions of dollars on behalf of injured clients.
Mark has vast experience with injured laborers and served as a Member of the New York State Department of Labor’s Industrial Board of Appeals for 11 years.
